I had to play some happy music to get myself energized and “change the channel” from the TV news I had been watching. Scary. I’m not one to bring politics into an art blog but this is not a normal time. I’m hearing that a lot. This time in our history is NOT normal. And my feelings about that are as changeable as the latest tweet or indictment — I am, at various times, sad, hopeful, crying, smiling, dreading, and did I say hopeful? – that this mid-term election in 2018 will bring the change that turns us back into the people I thought we were, and the country I thought I was born into.
