Art that makes you smile

Today has been one of those days. You know those days when we just need a little cheering up? So when this close-up of one of my quilts made me smile, I thought, “YOU are going in my blog today!” And I proceeded to make that happen.

You see, it’s been W-A-Y too long since I posted here. And what’s the point of having an art blog if you don’t post anything in it?

Especially something that makes me smile. This is in the center of my quilt, “Star Rider.” I think of this funny little figure as an alien in red boots, biking through the corridors of space.

I can be a little reticent about sharing artwork, which is silly when you think about it, because the whole reason for making art IS sharing it, right?

So I resolve to post more photos that make me smile, and hopefully, some of them will make you smile too!
