It’s going to be a blast

I don’t like to “blow my own horn” (haha) but I just opened an exciting email notice from the International Quilt Festival in Houston. One of my original art quilts, Boogie Brass Band, received Honorable Mention in the Whimsy/Fantasy category!

The IQF takes place this year from Thursday, October 30 to Sunday, November 3. Quilters and quilt-lovers from across the world will travel to Houston to view the custom-made art quilts, which take many months, and sometimes even years, to create.

The IQF is the largest annual quilt show in the U.S. and takes place each fall in Houston, Texas. It regularly attracts around 55,000 people who come to see the best quilts in a variety of categories.

So – as you can imagine I’m feeling honored!
