How many colors do you see?

Upon first glance, Crop Circles 1 looks like a black and white quilt. However, many people are surprised to find out there are 8 colors in this quilt.

I used Kona cotton – black, dark gray, medium gray, light gray, navy, dark blue, brown, and white – so that the color varied only slightly across the expanse of the quilt, providing the impression of greater depth.
