I’ve been on a yellow kick lately, enjoying the light-filled images of sunlight on yellow countertops, soft-boiled egg yolks breaking perfectly over my morning toast, the first lemon ready for plucking off our little tree.

This little quiltlet is the newest addition to the Serenity Series. I’m working on several yellow versions while I’m in such a sunny mood (haha). I know I have to work fast before the dark blues, purples and blacks arrive to carry me off in my usual wintery depths. (Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE dark colors from purple and midnight blue to deep black, black and white, white and black, and did I say – – BLACK?)
But before the color wheel of life moves on, I will enjoy the novelty of YELLOW for a little while longer. Stay on the sunny side!
